Impressive writing as always but it’s not something with any replay value unfortunately, unlike his older freestyles

Some really great bars in there but just a shame a lot of them won’t get acknowledged because there’s no beat...but it’s literally a freestyle about a battle rap movie where all the battles are acapella. So if there’s any time he shouldn’t have a beat it’s for this

Understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and I guarantee most that don’t like it don’t have any interest in battle rap anyway, which is fine. But he just dropped Kamikaze & Killshot etc so stop calling him trash already lmao

Hopefully this is a warm up for the Bodied soundtrack though like the Shady cypher was for Shady XV

Why are people taking this so serious? If acapella isn't for you then don't listen. Em has proved he can still drop a dope record, who cares if he's having fun flexing some rhymes? This forum is the worst when it comes to Eminem. The levels he has to reach to get a bunch of you to even say it was average is insanity.

Dude he looks so f---ing weird when he does this s---. He sounds out of breath, he makes awkward movements/vocal inflections and he makes really bad lines during these.

Kamikaze was awesome overall though. It was the closest to the Eminem I loved growing up. I praised it all over this board.

But this is not it. I'm not saying Em is incapable of bouncing back, but this represents everything I've hated about Em since about 2011-2012.

I feel like most of Em fans praise battle rap but never watch it. Most of battle rap is acapella for presentation. They're charismatic, and even though they don't have a beat, there's RHYTHM.

Em has neither. He sounds/looks like he's over thinking every thing. Maybe you guys can't tell it, but people who watch this s--- can.

Id rather hear dude on a beat, and after Kamikaze, that's a COMPLIMENT. That means I think he's good enough again to make great music.

Well that's exactly how alot of battle rappers flow and rap. It's always accapella, they do a stop and go, chop flow at times for syllables, the emotion and delivery builds to the end of a bar or the punchline. And hes promoting a movie about battle rap so its fitting

Man, wtf.

This accapella freestyling is getting old. He could have freestyled over a beat for once. Or at least done half the freestyle over a beat and the other half accapella. I have zero desire in listening to it.

Can't believe this was almost a decade ago... is i really that hard to start flowing over a beat again?
