The thing is, after couple of listens, this track is much more sonically pleasing than Rap Devil. That laid back flow was f---ing awesome. Choppy parts are a bit annoying but they work

this we can definitely agree on lol.

I just think ever its been a steady downhill the last 10 years, with a few exceptional songs here and there. And i really am a big fan so its s--- to see him falling off so bad. I'm glad people are enjoying Kamikaze but its still nowhere near what he's capable of. And he really is capable of more if he can still make songs like The Ringer.

Encore was just a watered-down/drugged out version of TES but is severely overhated and still his 4th best album by miles.
Relapse is beautifully produced but trash otherwise.
Recovery was a valiant effort to pivot i guess and it did get him back in the spotlight. But it was pretty clear that he'd completely lost it at this point.
MMLP2 was alright
Revival is unlistenable.

I guess Killshot is ok for what it is, especially if you can somehow ignore how off-beat he is. But its a far cry from the guy that made Girls and The Sauce. Jay-Z, Nas and Kanye dont get a pass when they make trash music, why should Em?

I think The Ringer, Fall and a few other songs off Kamikaze are really good and the album overall is definitely a step in the right direction. I love the renewed energy and focus.

That being said, its still right near the bottom of his discography for me. His flow switching is a cheap stunt that he cant even pull off properly and a lot of his writing is still clumsy. He’s completely delusional about Revival and his going at ‘mumble rap’ reflects just how out of touch and bitter he's become.

It was lazy though. Only reason he did it is because Em responded to him. He did what anyone on this board could do. There's really no comparison to the disses. Em's is clearly better put together. MGK is a nobody so obviously Em doesn't have the same ammo for him as MGK had for Em
