Yea getting paid to live out your dreams working with your friends for 25 years and still going, what an L. ICP's in better shape than Em in regards to everything in life except money which they're also doing just fine with. Em can hardly handle leaving the house without a panic attack.

Well Em's clearly a better artist at the end of the day. I think a better comparison would be who has the worst fans

I genuinly think ICP beef, gave Em extra 'bad boy' coverage giving him an extra push to establish himself as a mean MC. ICP was the first beef right? A big part of Em's popularity belongs to his ability to diss...
He gained that 'career detroyer fame' which was reinforced by Mariahs recent diss haha
About D12, it is known that Royce's and ICP beef wasn't initially carried out by Em, but strongly fed by the group members.
Will try to find the documentary where it was explained...

I think his most vicious disses weren't even towards ICP, at least in my opinion. the everlast/limp bizkit disses were relentless. those definitely secured the "career destroyer" thing Eminem had going. was there ever even a full track directed at ICP?

Why did he even get into a beef with LB? He and Fred Durst did a song together.

And IMO, his most vicious diss came with "I Remember".

I agree, those diss songs towards LB/Everlast were ridiculous. And it's where he first probably got the label "career destroyer" or whatever this forum calls it.

But in my personal opinion, I think the Benzino disses are the most lethal and if there was any doubt he was a career destroyer, not only did he destroy Benzino's career as an MC, but he destroyed the Source magazine! They filed for bankruptcy not too long after this beef ended. Talk about ending careers! Not only did he end Benzinos rapping career, he also forced every Source employee into the unemployment line!

Having said that, I grew up in Boston and I remember when Benzino was in the group RSO. I liked them. I also liked Hangmen 3. Aside from those earlier years, I really like Benzino's album called The Benzino Project. Some of those beats used to sound great in my old whip with the 2 12" subwoofers! Hahah late 90s, early 2000s were the best! Haha I'm such a loser.

Apparently, DJ Lethal from LB when asked on MTV about Em's and Everlast's beef, more specifically on who would win on a fight, he answered by saying Eminem would get his a--- handed by Everlast...
This and Fred's silent on the whole situation, motivated Em to write the 'Girls' track - as he felt betrayed by Limp Bizkit.

agreed with I Remember being the most vicious. it's my favourite diss from Em

Another reason for the Limp Bizkit diss was that Fred (or all of Limp Bizkit I can't remember) was supposed to be on "Quitter" but backed out at the last second, and supposedly starting talking s--- about Em on MTV or some s---

Girls is one of my favourite tracks. And before we really had the Internet like we do now so I had no clue as to what was going on.

I was a fan of both and because they had recorded tracks together was taken totally by surprise when I heard this.

By the way did they ever record a clear version of our house?

tbh ironically I find it the opposite, 'Foolish Pride' assured to me that Em is really a nice person

We are talking 1988, a 16 white y/o dating black girl is beautiful thing to begin with... shows how his soul is beautiful and not driven by public/society as racism was much awful I guess

Em loved her despite her color, but she bashed him cuz he was white, she's the racist one

Also, he didn't call her the N word as you stated , he was literally saying:
'black girl ain't funny they take your money'

like I guess he got butthurt cause he bought her s--- (while he was poor) and she broke up with him.... he wasn't degrading.

It's very impressive how this didn't affect Em career at slightest, Em pulled it off so good

Omg I think you're absolutely right. Now that you mention it, I believe he dropped the n word in the other song. If I remember correctly, The Source released a couple tracks, one was Foolish Pride and the other was a freestyle or verse or whatever. I think he dropped the n bomb in that other track but in the song about the girl, he doesn't use the word. Either way it's still a racist song lol.

But thank you for correcting me.

I also agree, in today's day in age, I'm simply amazed Em was able to withstand those tracks and save his career. This would typically be the end of a career. But he was able to make it out the other end, probably because everyone knows he's not really racist. He made hateful and distasteful music and it's something he can't take back. But he's clearly not racist. He was best friends with Proof. Today he's best friends with Royce and at one point was really close to all the other guys in D12. They may not be as close today but it's just like any old best friend you've grown apart from, you know either party could pick up the phone and the other end is answering. My long winded point is, eminem is clearly not racist and that's probably a major reason he survived this portion of his career.

I heard that this actually happened, but it had nothing to do with Em and ICP directly. Back when ICP released Carnival of Carnage there was a local rapper that Em ran with named Champtown. He had this whole jester gimmick and felt that ICP was ripping him off, plus they dissed him on the track "Never Had It Made." So it was really Champ's crew that shot at them, Em just happened to be apart of it at the time.
