Dec 18, 2020 Make sure to tag us. I'm really curious what you have to say cause I really enjoy that one.
Dec 18, 2020 It's a great album overall. The first listen for me is pretty good, but nothing too exciting. I'm still taking Side A. I'm not a huge fan of the beat selection on Side B. Side A production was much better IMO. He's definitely running out of subject material. Side A was much more personal, Side B is just an MC album, just rapping. Even on Side A, he got creative with a storytelling song like Darkness. I still love it, but there's no Premonition, Darkness, Leaving Heaven, Marsh, Never Love Again, Lock it up, No regrets, I will on Side B.
Dec 18, 2020 Key skit - wtf lol. Feels like drugged out encore era em humor as @Captain Awesome AKA Papa said. good to see him having fun instead of being this static rap machine he was for many years in the 2010s next song She Loves Me even has a layered hook that feels like encore era—as far as made up relationship songs are this one isn't terrible, his voice sounds like classic em voice.
Dec 18, 2020 Did you just say the beat selection was not good? Wow. The beats are crazy good on side B, don't get me wrong I like Side A more also, but come on the beats are fk--- fire on side b
Dec 18, 2020 premonition, marsh, tone deaf & killer are modern eminem at his absolute best imo not including discombobulated which is more of a (pretty awesome) interpolation of prime em if that makes sense
Dec 18, 2020 . Hm I mean, if we are going that route counting it as 1 album then....... Conversations about the trilogy (TSSLP, MMLP, and TES) may need to be had. Lol
Dec 18, 2020 Honesty wouldn't be surprised if he's back writing more today lmao. Wouldn't be surprised to see another album in 2021. Never thought I'd see the day we'd get 2 'projects' in the same year
Dec 18, 2020 Nah nah. I meant, one the first listen, if its starts to feel like the album is dragging, and then songs like Stepdad start coming in, you're bound to feel like skipping the song. I just don't fight that compulsion. Later, on a good day, sipping juice, I might muster up my willpower to digest the entire album in one go. That's how MTBMB1 was for me. This album, M2BMB tho, not so. It's groovy, fun and definitely unskippable. Rather, replayable.
