Aug 13, 2020 True, although he always was the same if you think about it. He always gave a f---. He could just say he didn't because people liked his material during that time, they liked him 'not giving a f---' and the content/music which went with it... But if that didn't work, he'd probably fret and change-up, just like the reason we got SSEP/SSLP in the first place was a reaction to Infinite. Then, even MMLP was a response to be taken more seriously Paul said and then TES more-so, everything is a reaction to his last project, always has been.
Aug 13, 2020 Good point. The whole "I don't give a f---" slim shady character was created precisely because he gave plenty of f---s about people not paying attention to him. I've never seen a rapper more obsessed with music critics or the public's reaction to their work before either. He gives plenty of f---s, almost to an autistic level.
Aug 13, 2020 Relapse 2 wont be released til Em retires or dies. Getting your hopes up for Relapse 2 is wasting your time. It's not coming anytime soon.
Aug 13, 2020 You can see a 70 year old man recording grandad versions of offended and heat? He’s obviously going to retire at some point bro.
Aug 13, 2020 Rap is still so new. Look at some of the older generations of rappers. A lot of them are still making music. 70-80 year old rock stars still make music. Eminem will for sure still do shows, as any artist with a brain would do in the post twilight of their careers; that is of course, if they like money.
Aug 13, 2020 Why the f--- anyone in any age should record such crap as heat or offended? But it doesn't mean he can't do mature music with substance in his 50s or 60s.
Aug 13, 2020 I don't know, I can see maybe 2 or 3 more albums, and then retire. I agree with what you said regarding shows though... You think Em will still have a big fan base in 10/15 years time?
Aug 13, 2020 Eminem? He made them? I'm not a revival fan btw If he does decide to carry on for that long it will be interesting to see which direction he takes his career for sure.
Aug 13, 2020 Definitely not. He is still very successful today, but if Stans didn’t exist then idk how this dudes career would be right now. He will have a devoted fan base still, but compared to today he’ll be irrelevant. IMO at least.
Aug 13, 2020 I dont think Em will still be rapping 15 years from now but he will still have a big fan base. h--- Elvis still is popular and hes been dead for decades. Em will be big even way after hes gone.
Aug 13, 2020 in 15 years he will be an old legend. Everybody will respect him even the teenagers and maybe everybody is going to listen his projects but in the main scene he will be irrelevant. He will be pretty much like the old rock stars today.
Aug 13, 2020 Dre of course. More Alchemist. Would love to see him be cool with Tyler the Creator and him produce a song or two.
Aug 13, 2020 Darkness is definitely genius. Arose is good, but I've always had certain reservations about it because it's retelling the same story from Going Through Changes, and Deja Vu for that matter. I've never heard anyone complain about that very much but with Castle and Arose it seems to me like he's retreading the overdose territory one too many times.
