Best thing i can sum it up with is basically what you just said.....Thats why Top Tier rappers talk about his wordplay and entendres now. Lotta ppl here dont seem to watch Battle Rap, but thats how EM raps now. He's been one of the first/few to take that style the battlers use and put it on beats. The way he's building schemes and rhyme patterns are coming from the battle rap blue prints, we all know EM came from battle rap but its very different now than it was in the 90s its not 60 seconds to a beat. its planned months in advance and given prep time. But Yeah, idc what ppl say, ive listened to EM since 99 and ill listen to MMLP2, kami, MTBMB over his first 3 anyday. he's rapping his a--- off and the criticisms dont make sense because every rapper sticks to a certain set of topics.....every rapper talks about haters, b------s, other rappers, violence, drugs etc. opening bars on these demons explain it all.

Dec 20, 2020 Skylar and Em made some good songs but mostly ehhh 50 and Em made mostly good songs btw I'm not a fan of his fast rapping usually but the beat and horn on Gnat match it perfectly where he doesn't look like he's trying to be faster or better than the beat. That song is fire
