    + No Royce
    + Less Features

"I need to get off Section 80, I need to get on the mic".
My sources tell me that was the original line, but had to change it, because it was too obvious.

Once you're able to get rid of nostalgia, it'll knock SSLP down off your list, my G.
For real. It's just the emotional attachment you have to that album that doesn't allow you to put MTBMB above it,

And it’s the recency attachment you have to MTBMB that makes you think that lol

Nah. I haven't listened to SSLP in years. And MTBMB Side A was already in my Top 3. You can check my post history and you'll see that.

Then I’m even more certain it’s a recency effect if it’s been years since you’ve heard SSLP lol.

in six months time, listen to this and listen to SSLP and I guarantee that 80% of you will think SSLP is better

People literally say this with every em album that drops besides revival...they say it’s better than [3rd favorite em album]. People said recovery was better than the Eminem Show lol

Good songs? Yes. Some. Good projects? No.

And go back and listen to the good songs from those projects on shuffle with this album. Still sound as good?

    Nah. I'm telling you.
I've grew tired of SSLP's shock value s--- and that's why I stopped listening to it.
It's a classic album and a before-after moment in hip-hop but it's just not up there for me anymore.

    Disorderly Progress What's cookin?

    Dec 21, 2020
I would disagree with that. At least for me. And I'm a fan of MTBMB.

I just consider SSLP superior artistically. The writing (not rhymes per minute or complexity, but the actual ideas), the concepts... SSLP is still easily his third best to me, those Top 3 are likely to never change. To me.

The growth Em has showed as an artist since day 1 all the way up until now... I don't think any other artist -except Michael Jackson- has ever even come close.

i think people forget how well received Recovery was back in time
It was called the modern day Eminem show at the time. It was the first time Eminem had really opened up in 6 years too.

MMLP2 actually was well received too until about a monthe after release. Bad Guy was clled his best song ever lol

Just a thought. I do think a problem he’s going to run into is that if he continues to put out albums every year/two years, sales will get lower and the hype surrounding his releases will die down which is fine to me if the music is this quality, but it’s probably not fine to him.

On the other hand, I think he needs to continue putting out albums quickly and consistently and move on to the next project to stay in this zone. The problem with Revival, as he’s pretty much flat out said, is that he overthought it. He had four years between MMLP2 and Revival where he probably recorded over 100 songs and tried to pick out which ones he thought would make a good album that had every type of track (poppy, emotional, lyrical, etc). The result was not only a s-----y album, but an album that was all over the place. I don’t think any artist can collect songs for years and choose the “best” ones for an album. It makes for a mess of an album.

so yeah....he should keep releasing albums every two years max and try his best not to care if sales slow down as he ages.
