Aug 14, 2020 He's rapped about his Asperger's; I have Asperger's too and his overthinking and mad attention to detail/criticism probably come straight from his mild autism. Legacy is a song about it: I used to be the type of kid that would always think the sky is falling Now I think the fact that I'm differently wired's awesome 'Cause if I wasn't I wouldn't be able to work Words like this and connect lines like crosswords I imagine he thinks very mechanically too; you can see/hear it in his lyrics
Aug 14, 2020 I could see him pulling the Dre route and producing a lot as he ages. Maybe he starts a podcast too
Aug 15, 2020 If he starts one that should definitely be the name of it lol. You can tell by the interviews that the dude lives and breathes rap and loves talking about it. Have to think it's possible he starts one some day. Plus it would still keep him quite involved in hip hop as you know a lot of rappers would tune in to hear what Em says about them and s---.
Aug 15, 2020 The Beatles are top 5 pure sales this century which is obscene. You never know how his popularity will stand against time looking at them numbers.
Aug 16, 2020 Whatever he gone do I hope he hook up with who’s old crew “ BassBrothers “ for production and ideas
Aug 16, 2020 I have always disagreed with people when they say arose is just a rehash of those 2 songs. At least deja vu it’s not a rehash but GTC I can understand that argument. I’ve always felt like arose was the sequel to deja vu. Deja vu is about his addiction and ends with “they said they found me on the bathroom floor” when he overdosed on methadone. Then arose picks up from the hospital scene when they were trying to revive him. Granted he also tied this into the ending of castle but it also fits perfectly with picking up where deja vu left off. edit: I guess arose is a rehash of GTC but f--- it, I like arose a lot. It’s probably the only song I really like on revival so ima defend it haha
Aug 16, 2020 It's a great song on its own, and thinking of it like you said, that does make it even better. I still do prefer GTC though.
Aug 16, 2020 How could anyone think it's a rehash... it's a new concept. It's him writing from his deathbed. "Deja Vu" and "Going Through Changes" are much closer to each other, just different rap styles. "Arose" is completely unique and it's also the most brilliant and powerful introspective song he's ever written, and the best performed. Absolutely astonishing; to any who thought he'd just become a pun machine (and yeah I know there's a lot on this track too), like all he could do was rhyme and pun... yet a new level of brilliance and layer to why he's one of the best writers ever. Just a shame it's on that dogshit album.
Aug 16, 2020 Yeah it would be great if he was totally honest and real on it though, like 'Kamikaze' era Sway interview Em, not everything prior to that - that new 'everything's dope' PC Em. That would be a snooze; Not that I'm saying I want him to just talk s--- about people, but if he's falsely nice about everything or just plays that character... it's so boring, you can predict everything he's gonna say in advance. Rap Pod with a Rap God Then he could do feature episodes with other 'rap gods' where he discusses s--- with them or their careers. That'd actually be pretty fire, like Em talking with Rakim for an hour on his work. And call each special like 'Rap Pod with Rap Gods: Em & Rakim"
Aug 18, 2020 I sense something 2021 maybe a Bad Meets Evil project sense he shouted BME on Godzilla. Idk ...
Aug 19, 2020 Maybe I'll keep writing to Denaun to make it happen like I did before MTBMB told him Em's needs Dre beats and we wanted Relapse 2 so Em gave us Dre beats and made Never Love Again
