Oct 20, 2020 1. Em has too many new songs that are simply hard to perform. 2. Eminem isn't 20, he's almost 50, I'm shocked he still can rap like that (he can punch verses in the studio tho) 3. People love his older stuff more than new one. 4. He has too many songs to perform, if he decided to perform full songs it would take him like 10-13 songs per show. etc. etc.
Oct 20, 2020 I’m more interested in this giant L S80 is getting Friday as opposed to a new Eminem, Drake or Kanye project.
Oct 20, 2020 I mean, even if nothing happens it's not like people have been anticipating this for that long. I'm looking forward to it, but if nothing happens I can assure you I'll be just fine.
Oct 20, 2020 Do we know the songs from MTBMB that were held back by sample clearances? Or were they just unreleased and replaced by other songs?
Oct 20, 2020 @Guma @Xmipod @Grimace aka Andys Father @M Solo Just displaying my trust people. Believing since day one. Waiting for y'all and Em to get W's on Friday.
Oct 20, 2020 Yea this is pretty common with legacy acts, especially when they have huge catalogues. I also think it’s more common with rappers. Hov does the same thing, midway through the show he runs through like 10 classics and does a single verse and some of the hooks. Although Hov seems to change up these songs every few shows to make it different for fans whereas em more or less sticks to the same setlist while sprinkling in a new verse here or there (like medicine man, chlora remix, etc).
Oct 20, 2020 I remember that being said too. However, Ems verse was clearly new because he couldn't have wrote a hook and verse that good at almost any point in the 2010s (until Kami I mean)
Oct 20, 2020 Thats why I want a new album that features easier songs to perform. Something fun and that will stay around.
Oct 20, 2020 If you can say...why do you think you will like it so much? Must be some kind of info you have. Not asking you to give it all away of course. But that's interesting to me.
Oct 20, 2020 and it's addressing Lord Jamar. but it probably originated as a Slaughterhouse song from Glasshouse.
Oct 20, 2020 there is literally a pandemic going on. don't think Darkness would be a good instagram performance
Oct 20, 2020 I'm confused. What did Dre produce on MTBMB. I was under the impression he mixed songs but didn't produce anything. While it's got some of his arguably worst songs ever(Step Dad, Marsh, Little Engine) it does have some pretty good songs and I should have given it a proper listen initially. I still don't think it's highs reach Fall or even Believe but that's just my opinion.
Oct 20, 2020 premonition, never love again, little engine, and lock it up. the intro of premonition actually leaked in 2012. it was originally on a Game song.
Oct 20, 2020 Not a rapper but Metallica shortens some of their songs live. I'm not sure how much it happens but Em isnt the only one who does it. I think they do it to get the shows over quicker.
Oct 20, 2020 Wasnt there a rumor that Em cut off Buddens verse and added his own to it? Feel like I remember that being thrown out there by somebody.
Oct 20, 2020 no. Crooked and I think Joe said Joe was never on it. Always just Crooked, Em, Royce, and Joell.
