Dec 31, 2020 Oh my bad loll Em just said what everyone was thinking. He had no problem with Snoop not having him in his top 10 and has no problem with Snoop thinking he can't f--- with KRS-One, Cool G Rap etc... Em added that he never said he could f--- with these dudes anyway so doesn't understand why Snoop would say that. It's Snoop's very last statement that bothered him. When Snoop said when it comes to hiphop, he can live without that s--- (Em's music). He found the way Snoop said it was disrespectful. @Michael Myers
Dec 31, 2020 Aight. And yeah agree. Snoop is a legend and I respect him but stfu lol. If he said that about revival he would've been right tho lmao
Dec 31, 2020 Lmao Em about She Loves Me: "It's a playful song, atleast I didn't k--- the chick at the end".
Dec 31, 2020 I wonder why that is. I thought maybe rappers just assumed they were out there and didn't give it a second thought but when it's been for about 10 years now either the labels have an issue with it or the rappers do and yet for 30 years they gave them away for free to DJs, you might even argue that the entire hip hop genre was built on sampling....stealing from other people's records and using samples. It's a strange thing. I'd love someone to ask him that or even ask some of the producers he has taken beats from just what their mindset is, do they really mind if people have the instrumentals or is there some unknown reason why they're kept under wraps. DJs can't have them, fans cant have them.
Dec 31, 2020 Paak's a singer though. He allegedly left Aftermath, so I got the feeling that he only released those instrumental albums to fulfill his contract obligations or something like that.
Dec 31, 2020 I’d say it’s because streaming/downloading is the monetary process now so they no longer need to push extras on the singles like they used to. Same concept as Netflix & selling a DVD with bonuses.
Dec 31, 2020 He’s hip hop. I think he released them because he’s an old head & he knows a lot of his fans appreciate the old ways too. So it’s a nod to them whilst cashing in. Watched an interview with him before where he was talking about how people no longer have HiFi setups in their houses & what they’re missing out on etc.
Dec 31, 2020 Yeah it’s over. Wasn’t the most insightful, just good to hear he seems to be in a comfortable mental space, which is the main thing.
Dec 31, 2020 Snoop was disrespectful.. and it wasnt the first time.. clearly seem to have some problem with em
Dec 31, 2020 d---, the confusion in Em's voice when he talked about Snoop's statements got me feeling some type of way
Dec 31, 2020 Snoop doesn't even write his own songs. f--- him. Em has more talent in his pinky. Writes and produces his own s--- and even ghost writes for others.
Dec 31, 2020 Was this interview uploaded any where? I couldn’t listen, now I’m looking for a link. Would love to check it out.
