Jan 15, 2021 Still a bit disappointed by how half assed Fantano’s review was. He sounded like a Twitter level internet troll just nitpicking lyrics he did not like. No comment at all about the production, features, flows, topics or even lyrics he DID found clever. He sounded like Em f----- his wife or something lmao. Even though most fans and casual fans seem to really enjoy side A and B, with a more positive Fantano review some of the haters would shut up at least since they blindly follow his opinion.
Jan 15, 2021 Off topic: Back in 2016 i bought Rihanna's Anti on Vinyl. I dont know if i'm locking on the wrong sites but it's quite difficult/impossible to get a new one. Used it's on ebay for 200 €. Crazy

Jan 15, 2021 He really needs to leave the entendres and punchlines off his next album. He's been doing them for 10 years now, and they peaked on Kamikaze/Side A. But it's become so over saturated imo. On most songs now every other bar is a punchline, and because he's using SO many the quality is deteriorating. Think he's become obsessed with it though and will no doubt continue this pattern. Simple bars can be layered too. "The s--- that I been through my pencil never could pencil" - prime em bar that is simple and effective
Jan 15, 2021 I couldn’t agree more!!! It really brings the quality down along with the impact of listening to new Em music. It used to be interesting waiting to hear the next line. Now, it’s losing its luster when it’s entrenches and punchlines about his haters and being the GOAT non-stop.

Jan 15, 2021 I agree with absolutely everything you’ve said bar MTBMB being the peak of wordplay as these issues were prominent there, I think it was MMLP2 but I digress. Like that bar you mentioned, Em has seemingly forgotten how powerful his tongue n cheek bars were. It’s like his deep dive into KOTD & Smack rap battles has seeped its way into his writing, almost like an obsession, making him lose part of his technique that made him so great. He’s starting to bundle himself into the Logic’s, Tech’s & Joyner’s etc. I hope he re-establishes it again by the next project because another album full of this will become tedious, it’s already redundant.
