What works for me is if what's being said is said well. I can't relate to killing an old lady with an axe, but Crime and Punishment is a brilliant book.
Jan 23, 2021 I definitely would enjoy a new bme album I personally just enjoy the story telling and I think the writing was good and even though It hasn't happened to me personally I've been around people that have overdosed so that kinda adds to it for me
Jan 23, 2021 I think it’s over rated but I agree with all that - honestly I just haven’t been in the mood to spin those two - I listened a few times when it dropped and respected those songs for what they were. Framed would have been good if not for the off key hook. The albums main issue was over production and trying too hard. Other albums don’t try enough - but I think mtbmb finds a descent balance and if it is to be the last one it is a suitable send off.

Jan 23, 2021 f--- BME with all due respect. I'd rather him make an EP with Jay-Z or Kanye West. Maybe an EP with The Alchemist? Or 50? Maybe an EP where he features all the old school artists he's a fan of over old school-esque production. There are so many directions he can go in from here and realise there's more to rap music than just lyrical miracle stuff. Royce has, for the most part, f----- up Em's priorities when it comes to choosing between rap gymnastics and sonic appeal. It is better if he dissociates himself from Royce in a creative sense at least.
Jan 23, 2021 If he hasn't done an EP with 50 by now, he will never do it. 50 is into TV now. He also wouldn't do an EP with another big artist. We all know that. Or use the same producer for the whole tape. Royce is all we got for an EP, and they have great chemistry together.

Jan 23, 2021 I agree with your point but the constant association with Royce has put Em in a creative box that he's not able to jump out of. Em-50 EP is just an initiative away. The Alchemist-Em EP can happen anytime tbh. Collab with a big artist is almost impossible, but that is because Em probably won't reach out. If he does, not only will he get a chance to ditch his comfort zone but explore new horizons which will be good for him since his content has gone stale. Though Royce-Eminem is most likely to happen
