Mar 12, 2021 Relapse was pretty much a concept album without him even really knowing it, and it worked and it was different. Unfortunately in 2009 I think social media kind of took off and that's really when he started seeing the reactions and no doubt Royce and everyone around him would love to tell him everything said and repeat back what people think about the accents. I think as 2009 went he went from having 2 Relapse albums to saying he has to finish it off and pick the songs despite saying there was originally 3 albums worth of material, I think as 2009 went on he had those new sessions with Dre which produced Ridaz and So Bad and he was getting away from the accents so I think even if he had continued working with Dre, Relapse 2 would have still sounded different anyway. I don't know if the songs on Refill were intended for it or if they were always considered throwaway songs but I think Music Box and Buffalo Bill are great as is Taking My Ball, Drop The Bomb On 'Em and his own produced Elevator so at least he had the decency to give us songs that were in the Relapse style and maybe they were all from the original sessions which is great, that was the original intention anyway. Relapse 1 and 2. It was all recorded together so it should be released that way. I with with these new interviews he was asked more about Discombobulated because it has a skit leading in to it and it is hyped up as being something special and it closes out Side B so I'd like to think that it's more than just him doing something for the Relapse fans because it otherwise would have been buried in the track list somewhere. I hope that's maybe his way of acknowledging that material and how much many fans love it I think the Music To Be Murdered By albums really show the difference between Relapse and now. It really shows you that his accents and his content, the murders and stuff is what made that album so different. I think these new albums should have really played into the theme more, I would have had Hitchcock all over both albums if they could have been allowed to sample it all but when you listen to Eminem's rhymes.......so few of them on both albums have anything to do with murder, it's just regular Eminem doing regular raps. He changed his flow up for Recovery and then MMLP2 and then everything since then has been a bit of everything so I think he definitely keeps things fresh. I don't think he should go backwards though. When you think of hip hop from the 2000s and 1990s.......how many of those artists are still going today? So many of them either haven't had a hit or haven't been heard from since about 2010 lol. I think it's where it belongs. I'd say the same thing with Dre and Detox. Too much time has passed and the people that would have loved it......they're too old now. They've moved on in life. I think a lot of people that are stuck in that time warp and can't get out of it are people who haven't changed their life in 20 years. Whether it's Dre and smoking weed and driving the fast cars with women in bikinis or it's Eminem and he takes drugs and hates his family and he wants to fight everyone....................those people have aged 20 years and they're still in that mindset. These fans are 20 years older and they're still mad at their family, they still take drugs, they still have this dream that one day they're gonna have the fast cars and the hot women......it's a fantasy. They haven't changed their lives. Time really does fly past. I remember when Relapse came out it didn't seem like a big deal. For the general public it had been 4 and a half years since Encore but Eminem was doing guest features in 2005 and then Curtain Call came out. He was all over 2006 and then released the Re-Up. 2007 again had many special features and during all this time he was regularly on Shade 45 doing freestyles and interviews and that's not counting all the production he did for other artists and he did all of Obie's second album so he really didn't go anyway. 2008 was the only year he didn't really release anything or do any interviews but even in 2009 I remember feeling like The Eminem Show and Marshall Mathers LP were a million miles away. It's hard to believe at that stage he had only been around as a big star for 10 years and now it's 20 years so now Relapse feels like a million miles away. We're all getting older. I'm just happy to get new material at this point. So many big stars from 20 years ago don't. They've cashed in and retired. They've had their 15 minutes of fame and their big hits and that's it. That's enough to pay their house and bills for life. At least Eminem is still putting new music our regularly and that's not always gonna be the case so while it is the case I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can.
Mar 12, 2021 You can’t tell me there’s not a significant and distinguishable difference between Eminem pre- and post-Trump election.
Mar 12, 2021 how much of king mathers do we still not have? I know someone found out I get money, Everything, Cut back and 50 ways all transition into each other and they found out that hip hop, its been real and G.O.A.T all transition too. Do you think the leakers have the whole album/mixtape and is keeping it for themselves? or will we maybe get it one day?
Mar 12, 2021 Grimace shared a December 2007 tracklist that's apparently from someone reliable that's 21 tracks long. Tracks 1-10 have leaked besides Keys To The City and 2 Skits. GOAT is track 21 with the second half of the tracklist being pretty much unleaked besides a few songs like Difficult and Apple.

Mar 12, 2021 I'm pretty sure most will leak someday. The only one's I doubt will ever leak are the skits but you never know
Mar 12, 2021 Just noticed something on Alfred’s theme when he says “that’s a world of hurt” they ad-lib the “that’s a” part first, then he says the rest of it. Thought that was a pretty cool way to produce.
Mar 12, 2021 d--- was just listening to the leak of Cocaine by Em. Still upset that he never released this song officially. It would've easily been the best song on Recovery. Those verses are so d--- good, I hope we get to see this version of Em sometime again.
Mar 12, 2021 Pathetic excuse. It’s the most significant event in between XV and Revival, and it’s obvious he felt the need to adjust to address it. He has mentioned Trump or his admin on each album since, and don’t forget the awfully hot coffee pot. If you can’t see that it affected him, you’re just in denial. You can disagree on it being a positive or a negative, but there was undeniably an effect.
