Mar 12, 2021 Whichever way Em took after the hiatus and getting sober, has nothing to do with Trump or politics. None at all. His mind was different back then. He used to be wired differently which makes the whole process of writing a song or vibing to a beat completely different. 10 years ago I used to write and record songs (not Rap songs though) and even if Eminem and I are worlds apart and I was never really GREAT at it, I can tell you that writing/recording when you're high on weed or drunk or whatever, it's completely different than when you're absolutely sober. You think differently. Your mind attacks the beat differently. So take that and multiply it by 100000 and maybe you'll begin to understand how and why Eminem's style changed so much. So much so that his first album after getting sober was made out of weird accents, because he couldn't find his own old style anymore. He had to re-adapt.
