Mar 19, 2021 I always get that feeling and it never happens. Not mad, cause I'm more into 2000s rap. He's trying to appeal to the youth by working with modern producers and newer artists, which aren't really new, he always works with people who blew up a long time ago like Juice or Young MA. Even though Juice was still relevant and having hits.
Mar 19, 2021 That’s why MMLP2 wordplay was superior, subtle but sharp. It wasn’t chock full of gotcha dad jokes lmao
Mar 19, 2021 Uuuuhhhh .. *flipping through pages* OH! -"we can play hide tha salami!" Just Em being himself The last part with the tailor made Em beat is amazing
Mar 19, 2021 Verses are great. Genuinely what hes talking about feels like MMLP topics but updated, like a 2020 "who knew". Just wish the chorus wasnt so generic. He shouldve done it, or kept cudi
Mar 19, 2021 Which is better? Lock It Up or Killer? Not exactly the same type of songs but both are clearly meant to be club bangers type of songs. I'll go with Killer only because it has a third verse. If Lock It Up had a third verse I would almost for sure pick it.
Mar 19, 2021 Killer is such a great song, as much as I truly hate the same typical generic Em track about girls he really hit it out the park with them on side b. Black magic guns blazing she loves me and killer are all awesome and that's a good chunk of the album about one topic and still no complaints.
Mar 20, 2021 I noticed that Nas talks a lot about relationships on King's Disease too, yet no one complains about him. (On the other hand, people barely talk about that album anyway, so idk..)
