Fair. Flaws in some terrible lines and the production, but overall very consistent, solid songs and if it remained a unique one-off in his catalogue, you could always point to it like 'look at this total change in everything right here', rather than it being the beginning of a bad period.

Made me realise how much I hate Em on rock s---; f---ing guitars.

And how much he needs BASS. Keys and bass.

His vocals are already so busy - you can't have busy ontop of busy, which I think is part of the reason he sounds trash on busy beats.

Which is why I always wanted and knew he would sound great over trap beats. And anybody who doubted it... just look at MMLP. MMLP beats are not far off trap beats, in the sense they're stripped down and a lot of simple keys, space and atmosphere.

Em's vocals need a lot of space.

Really thinking about it (@ election, having the safety net of doing it with Royce 'a black man', having already failed to connect on his own)... and knowing the way Em moves with his next moves (due to like 20 years of obsession) - I definitely think it will be BME.

I genuinelly feel sorry for people like You, I mean those who rank MMLP2 as his worst album. In 2010, Em dropped Recovery, which was crap, and left us with this trash for a couple of years. When MMLP2 was dropping, we all wanted to get rid off the bad taste in out mouth Recovery had left there, and I can only imagine Your disappointment and dispair, if You think MMLP2 is even worse.
As for me, I wasn't blown away or anything like that but I was glad his flow was more creative and he shouted less this time.
In hindsight, I appreciate the content more. As a matter of fact, I believe it is one of the best written Em albums with the most substance. Even punchlines and puns weren't boring. It's six years and I can still bump it. Nice replay value, too I guess. That's probably because MTBMB is finally an Em album I always wanted to get, and now, when I'm satisfied, I can appreciate his experiments from the past, looking at them woth more distance.

Anybody who thinks MMLP2 is his worst when Revival exists are insane.

It's hard to rank MMLP2 in general because as an ALBUM - it's crap. Due to the fact it is absolutely all over the place, no style, it's more like a mixtape, and it's especially damning when it's attached to that brand/title of an album.

However the writing and the raps are superb. Obviously lightyears better than Recovery, and Revival. And some of the best raps of his career in general, when you think of s--- on 'Rhyme or Reason', 'Legacy', 'Brainless', 'Baby', 'Groundhog Day', 'Wicked Ways', there is some classic, classic s--- there.

I know with me saying this I’m beating a dead horse at this point but minus the Italian sausage line lol. Legacy to me is one of his best songs of his entire career. It’s a deep story driven song that happens be the same rhyme scheme through out the entire song.

I love 'Legacy'. Also never had a problem with the 'italian sausage' line, to anyone who says that line is bad... how is it bad :/

A lot of people hear a--- or poo or crap or something stupid or vulgar from Em and just call the line crap, which sometimes it can be, but I've never had an issue with that line.

He just took the 'flying pigs' metaphor to an extreme, it's not a cringe pun and isn't overly silly, it's just a descriptive expansion of a metaphor, don't see the issue.

I absolutely hate the mentality that something is only either classic or trash. Middle-ground exists.

I see this with MMLP2 all the time — there are really great songs & some poor ones; there are some incredible bars (a lot—his writing on this was the sharpest of his career) & some poor, cringey ones.

When you consider the title & the fact it was a sequel to MMLP, yeah it’s disappointing but that doesn’t mean it’s automatically trash lmao.

Bad Guy, Rhyme Or Reason, Legacy, Rap God, Brainless, Evil Twin, Groundhog Day, Beautiful Pain & Don’t Front are all very, very good.

I’ll always defend MMLP2. And when I say the album is good, it doesn’t mean I think it’s a classic, nor does it mean I think every song is good. There can be terrible, terrible songs on a good album — and vice versa — great songs on a terrible album, see: Believe, Castle, Arose, & Walk on Water on Revival. I think it’s an insult to put MMLP2 & Revival on the same level.

When I say Recovery is better than MMLP2 i dont mean in every aspect, just the overall feel. Writing is obviously better on MMLP2 but Recovery was a fresh thing at the time with Talkin 2 Myself, GTC, Space Bound, Seduction... better than most if not all mmlp2. So Far, Berzerk, Love Game, a------, Survival are terrible... i dont even think rap god is good..

You seek too much validation from "exclusive info" you share. Every time someone mentions something you say "I already said it". You're not getting a medal out of this.
