Oct 9, 2020 Since MTBMB was supposed to come out late 2019 but sample clearances postponed it , is it possible that this album could be pushed back too?
Oct 9, 2020 Due to America’s influence - pop culture is a poison. It’s definitely more rampant in America though.
Oct 9, 2020 Pop culture seems to make it so that If you just reference something popular, those fans will accept it because they're familiar with it.
Oct 9, 2020 The Apple however.. That had potential[/QUOTE] Alot of songs from that era are hit or miss. Besides Apple and Difficult, can't think of many songs from that era that stand out
Oct 9, 2020 If you’ve noticed rap music has become nothing but advertisements in music form. Constant brand shout outs, materialistic writing & music videos. “Catchy” music instead of articulated rhythm & poetry, that’s clowned on. Is this pop music or rap? But kids will want to familiarise themselves with what’s on the front page Spotify playlists because that’s what the DJs rotate in the clubs that they want to pick up the girls in. With the repetitive nature of the sub bass, drums, melodies & cadence - they don’t have to focus to digest it, especially during this ADHD era where people can’t focus on something for more than 30 seconds without losing concentration & our brain’s subconscious is naturally receptive to familiar patterns.
Oct 9, 2020 Sponsorships seem to also be changing how people see artists. After the fortnite and mcdonalds collabs, travis scott is kind of a joke now in many people's eyes
Oct 9, 2020 Anything for the “bag” People have lost integrity, blinded by monetary gains, but that’s the reality we live in. Hard to blame them as they’re just a product of the system.
Oct 9, 2020 Couldn't agree more. Easily one of the best songs he's made and doesn't get brought up nearly as much as it should. Definitely up there in my top 10 Eminem songs. I remember when I was going through a very rough period in my life and was stuck working a factory job in a toxic environment that I absolutely dreaded every morning. Some of of these lines hit me right in the feels. "The pressure's too much, man, I'm just tryna do what's best And I try, sit alone and I cry Yo, I won't tell no lie, not a moment goes by That I don't pray to the sky, please, I'm beggin' you, God Please don't let me be pigeonholed in no regular job" Actually, scratch the top 10, it's top 5 for me. Em should really do more story telling.
Oct 9, 2020 So I just went back and relistened to 8 Mile Road for the first time in a decade. All of the poop, r---, killing songs aside. Songs like these are what cements Eminem as one the GOAT's. No matter how many bad albums he drops. Everybody at one point in their life can relate to it to a certain level. When all of it is said and done, these are the types of Em songs that are going to be remembered the most. Not the lyrical showcases such as Rap God or other lyrically complex songs that lack substance.
Oct 9, 2020 I always wonder how people will see em's music in the future because of this reason. Would people just brush it off and focus on the lyricism or will they focus on the offensive parts specifically. After seeing how people reacted to the Ariana line in Unaccommodating I wonder what will happen
Oct 9, 2020 Excited to hear some new Em. Hoping we get an album with mostly Lord Above/No Regrets/Friday Night Cypher flows. Interested to see if anything is said about Nick Cannon or Jamar in light of the beefs supposedly being squashed. Gonna guess we will hear more MGK shots for sure especially since MGK is still s--- talking him. Wondering if he puts shots out at Sada Baby (I dont think he should...would be a waste of time) Wonder if we get some Kami type of songs like Premonition. Em has really stepped up his beat selection the last 2 albums. Excited to see what type of production the album will get. This is almost certain to be really good.
Oct 9, 2020 not quite km but there they go is such a good f---ing verse also his verse on who want it if that was a full solo em song bruuv that flow is so good
