    Eminem did the soundtrack of the movie, but he didn't appear in it.

    this was only added 1 week ago by the company of my father, confirm Eminem next album will be southpaw movie soundtrack.
    it was recorded in 2010/2011, will have a lot of relapse 2 material(which is the real reason the album was scrap (it was never scrap, just used for an other project.)
    mr poter is also producing the lead single of the movie soundtrack phenomenal. album will feature dre(2010 feature). We could also hear the full version of die hard finally.
    album also set to feature xzibit.
    no rihanna or pop feature.(all pre recovery material).
    unfortunally expect a Royce da 5 9 feature.
    rumor of d-12 featuring on the project also(not sure if scraped )
    rumor of obie trice featuring on the project.(was originaly on it and got scraped).
    50 cent feature.(from 2009).

    source: imdb/my father is affiliated to the production company of the album but doesn't know much about Eminem.

    cliff: this album is not new material as in it was recorded before recovery unless final tracklist adds new tracks.


    fun fact: Eminem had a long discussion with production team and dropped from the project cause he was looking too old for the character (that was after they had choose to use relapse 2 material as southpaw soundtrack)and production team didn't want to s---t the full movie in Detroit(only use the location for a few scenes).
    movie was originally a sequel to 8 mile.

    Eminem look would have required a totally different script(which company felt wasn't necessary as they felt the script was actually pretty solid).

    Eminem might make a movie using a new script in the next few year produce by the same company.

    I have been lurking this forum for quite some time but was waiting for the company to release this info before leaking the news since its not new news anymore.(I have been aware of this info for quite some time).
