    on sight and i am good aren't good at all, especially i am god. but the album does get better as it goes along. the problem is the high's aren't as good as some of his previous albums and only about half of the tracks are good. i don't think yeezus is a bad album, but it's nothing special and it won't be remembered nearly as much as his debut or dark fantasy.

    for the record, i like kanye a lot and think he's a good artist. my problem is with all these people like @BigCountry who are brainwashed and think he can do no wrong. kanye has mis-steps in his career just like any other artist

    Kanye does have missteps in his career, but he hasn't fallen off in any sense like Em has. Eminem made bad songs during his prime as well, but you're going to be forgiven for a few clunkers if 95% of your music is good during a given period.

    Every single one of Kanye's albums are good, great, or classic except for Cruel Summer (which a lot of people discount because it's a label album, but I don't think that's fair considering it's his project and he's on over half of it). 90% of the people who think 808s/Yeezus are bad albums are people who aren't open to things that don't sound like traditional rap—I know because I used to be one of them. It wasn't until a few years ago when I started really getting into music that I gave 808s another chance and liked it.

    Show me the Kanye album that's as universally panned as Relapse or Encore (or even Recovery).

    Eminem for bars and hardcore beats, Kanye for artistic expression and intellectual inspiration. I favor Kanye for personal reasons.

    Kanye doesn't necessarily have mis-steps, he has yet to put out a truly bad project but at the same time, not everything he touches is golden either.

    I think what he is saying is that on a purely technical level, Eminem is better than Kanye. But on an artistic level, Ye's music is better.

    Yes and no

    Imo Kanye is one of the greatest hip hop artists ever who has occasional glimpses of potential lyrically rapping wise

    Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time. In his prime, he was the best rapper alive, but he also had some artistic merit as well
