    Disorderly Progress What's cookin?

...Okay so Pink and Lil Wayne aren't popular? What are you talking about. Wayne especially was still at a pretty big height at the time. And I definitely believe - like many aspects to Recovery - Em worked with Wayne purely for Wayne's name, not because he seriously wanted to. But more because Jimmy n Paul went "...Hey Em - all the kids love Weezy you know. And it will make us much cheddar bro... So?".

And Pink - there's no explanation. Again, just got her for the sake of it. Anybody could have sung that hook. It's just so "ALBUM FEATURES LIL WAYNE, PINK & RIHANNA!!" Which is pretty much 3 perfect choices for attempting to appeal to different sections of the youth at once:

    1. Lil Wayne / Broad rap fans/youth at the time
    2. Rihanna - pop fans with a slight connection to RnB & hip-hop, through her
    3. pop-punk fans & girls (also with Rihanna... And Lil Wayne) - and rebellious teenage girls and young women. Who are still into Pink.

Then, for production - again - not popular producers? Or just 'hot names'?

    Okay, let's take a look...

Jim Jonsin - produced #1 singles ''Lollipop' and ''Whatever You Like'' just a couple of years previous. Very compromised cheesy music, and worked a lot - especially just prior to Recovery - with Pitbull and Usher and just some general cheesy s--- charting a lot.

Boi-1da - Just prior to Recovery was working with Drake a lot and produced two high charting Drake singles.

Alex da Kid - Around that time was working with Nicki Minaj & B.o.B...

    I could go on.

That's not to say any producer who works with poppy or s-----y artists is s--- themselves, or that he should never work with them, or any producer who produces hits is cheesy - but it's just clearly obvious that the incentive was ''get all the hot now producers. All the hot guys working with the young artists with hits''. The incentive was just to get Eminem in line with all the other pop-rap artists at the time, and have the same sounds and vibes... Clearly.

Are you seriously suggesting Recovery was on any level sincere? Like Em seriously wanted to just create that sound, purely for the sound, like that was his dream album.

He went from a horrorcore album with dark Dre beats... to an album produced by 100 people and all the hottest names within those couple of years - and got big name features. Quite clearly to just appeal to as much of the mainstream as possible. I don't know how you could even say otherwise, it's just ridiculous.

That's not true. The reason people listen to Eminem is because he is that different. Putting an umbrella in a p---- and opening it up is a genius line.

Eminem just blatantly copied T.I's Paper Trail. So did Jay with BP3 as well.

First with the Relapse cover. Then with the Pop/Rap anthems & producers like Just Blaze & Jim Jonsin.

Ok let's start with Pink. You telling me pink was popular in 2010? I don't believe you, you need more ppl. Wayne wasn't all that popular either. He dropped two efforts that year, and neither even reached 200k first week. Also like to mention Wayne is the one who wanted a eminem feature not em, so the whole eminem working with Wayne because he was hot logic isn't true. Jim did one song and didn't promote that song until 2011 and that's after recovery sold over 3mil in the U.S so nah I'm not rolling with that. Next boi-1da only had 3 popular songs before recovery, and one of them eminem was on (forever). Next producer can't believe you even mentioned him, but ok besides airplanes please name me a popular song Alex da kid produced before getting on recovery? Most of the production was by ppl that were barely known, or had hit, so I don't see how you think these producers was popular. Far as features he had Kobe on there someone who definitely isn't popular, and he had three other features, if he wanted to reach ppl he would've gotten a whole lot more features. Like I said before he just became a recovering addict he was just trying to find himself, and why I think he should've took a longer hiatus.

I love how much talk that No Favors verse is still getting

Maybe it's a plan from Em: He will reference & sample it on a track saying how much attention he can still get when he just lists random s--- in a verse & how some fans will blindly call anything he raps incredible
