Yeah but the difference is that when Campaign Speech dropped there was only like 2 months left of 2016.

There's 7 and a half months left of 2017.

Tbh I'm glad he's taking his time to release this.

When the original hype died down with MMLP2, a lot of people concluded that the album as a whole was quite uninspiring. Although its rated higher than Encore, Relapse and Recovery on metascore, for me its his only album to date with no classic song on it. There are some good songs on there, but even then those lack any sort of replay value. He had some nice ideas (Headlights, Legacy, Monster, Bad Guy, a------), just the execution of them all fell flat; and that's how the album feels to me - flat.

This is probably going to be his last album. He's a washed rapper in his mid 40's, and with the rap game continuously changing so is his relevance. Of course he's still going to have that core fan base that will go mad for him, but the reality is not many people are listening to Eminem in 2017.

This is his final opportunity at redemption for me. If him taking ages to release this means that he's taking care and crafting a great album then I'm all for it.

I would love for him to release one more great album for the fans (and for himself), unfortunately though this seems a million miles away.

Yeh, like seriously Recovery was enough younger generation new fans. He still clocking like the 4th most monthly streams out of rappers in 2017. Was ahead of Kendrick until d---.

Just put out a 12 song album. He don't need a big single, when he drops/plans to drop social media will be in a frenzy.

He has the same amount of monthly listeners as Kanye. He is far ahead of the likes of Big Sean, Asap Rocky, 2 Chainz, J Cole, Schoolboy Q.

This is without a solo project in 4 years.

I understand the point you are making but he has a huge base of people streaming his music. Until Kendrick released d---, Eminem had double the amount of monthly streams for 2017 over Kendrick.

I think we all underestimate how many people listen to his s--- given that he is putting up big streaming numbers without releasing s---. It will be interesting to see his first week sales with streams counting.

If there's a big pop single I hope it's from either: Ed Sheeran (most unlikely due to an interview with Ed where he talked about only wanting to meet him when Em was aware of who he was), Adele (wouldn't surprise me especially due to Paul's Instagram post a while back) or the Weeknd (The Hills remix etc)

All would be good imo at pushing the album out there as the label will obviously want to do

But I'm fully expecting a Rihanna feature for the 3rd album in a row

I meant before CS dropped. He was active and busy in 2015. I know a lot of people thought he would drop in 2016.

I bet Roots was real but scrapped, kind of like King Mathers.
