    Why would they use a Dr Dre documentary as promo for an Eminem album...

    We can only hope for something before then

    I hear where you're coming from and you're probably right, but I don't know, I think it can make sense if filmmakers will focus a big piece of the documentary about the eminem signing and his subsequent worldwide dominance. Assuming one of the 4 parts is largely focused on the rise of eminem, then they could (and should) parlay that into promo for the new album to hammer home the point that Dre and Eminem still dominate the charts. This makes even more sense if the next album is back to basics where Dre is largely involved as both producing tracks and executive producer.

    Edit: But sadly, Em loves doing something new with every new album and while this rollout could make perfect sense for his new album, he's probably going in a completely different direction with very few Dre beats, if any. And this thought makes me really really sad.

    I mean, they could make it work I guess...and no one will care to question it because of all the hype - but I just don't think it'd be the best way to promote it, nor do I think it will happen

    If they want to promote a new album that has Dre heavily involved: Get Em on beats radio & play some s--- from the vault to get some hype going lol

    I think I'm trying to make this a convincing argument because we have a firm release date for the documentary and no news regarding the new em album. I'm ready for a new Em album and July is right around the corner haha

    I'll give it 3-4 months until the normal "(previous album) is so much better that (new album)" cycle begins.

    Chill, it's only been 3.5 years and we've had an albums worth of material inbetween then, with 2 projects (albeit nowhere near the same quality as an album but still)

    Haha I'm trying to jinx myself. I want mostly all Dre beats with a few self produced or bass brothers produced. I'm so sick of these outside producers.

    I totally agree his best stuff is either himself or Dre on production. Em knows how to make some nasty beats. (Hooks as well)
    Fingers crossed. I'm tired of waiting.
    I just popped on campaign speech. Feels like forever ago and a let down.
    Thought for certain some news or surprise would have happened by now.
    Unless election did f--- things up a bit. It is possible.. who knows w the hermit lol
