I honestly don't think he'll get extra personal with family drama and s---, but I do feel like he's taking his time trying to figure out what exactly he wants his subject matter to be. I suspect a large theme will be his view on the current landscape of rap, what's hot and what isn't, how his style isn't the dominating force any more, how does he fit into today's pop culture.

But aside from these subjects, I think he's gonna tell stories about the past, stories about his prime, etc. I can totally see the Defiant Ones documentary sparking tons of ideas for eminem. He's always been an emcee who succeeds when his environment drives him. I think the Defiant Ones will be a huge motivating factor, just from the standpoint of reliving the glory days, working with Dre and having Jimmy Iovine in the picture (I'm not suggesting he's involved in the album in any way, just that the documentary is about him and the empire he built with Em and Dre). I feel like they are going to make an album that tries to recapture some of the magic they once had. I believe this is why the album has been delayed. I think he was close to completing the album in the fall, then the election happened which gave him tons of material and then the Defiant Ones happened. Both of these things kept inspiring him so he just kept recording. I think Dre will be heavily involved in this upcoming album.

Yes he's touched on these topics post Relapse, but I think he'll approach them with a much more personal spin on them and a provide more honest look into how he truly feels about all these things.

In terms of 4:44, Jay Z recorded his last verse the day before release. Kanye, as we all surely remember, was working on The Life of Pablo up until the day of release (and then released updates to the album after it was out). I feel like Shady Records is approaching this release differently than they have in the past. I think Em is going to keep recording right up to the release date and instead of spending months over-producing and tweaking every single sound, this album will have a more raw sound to it. Dre and "raw sounding" never go together but I think this is what we're getting.

I'm probably 100% wrong. f--- it.
