    Def Jam and Interscope are major distributors just like Universal,Warner Bros, Atlantic, and Columbia Records ...Shady/Aftermath/Slumerican are smaller companies who work in collaboration with a major distributor...make sense now?...Def Jam/Shady would be dope btw...f--- Interscope they changed now that Jimmy is gone

    Actually Def Jam and Interscope are both subsidiaries of Universal Music Group, which is the major distributor.

    After watching this, it doesn't surprise me now that Glass House isn't releasing.

    Joe Budden clearly seems to think he's always right and doesn't like being told he's wrong and doesn't like someone else having a different opinion than him.

    Isn't Def Jam owned / distributed by UMG?... So is Interscope though?

    I don't really get it. Weird a--- business structures.

    Def Jam is a record label, owned by UMG. Shady is a record label, owned by UMG.... Interscope is a record label... ... owned by UMG... Wtf? So why does Shady answer to Interscope or people act like Interscope is UMG. Is it just about size or something.

    Universal Music Group doesn't really own shady. They all have agreement and deals about distribution and stuff. So yeah interscope and def jam could be like bro labels but none of them owns neither aftermath or shady. Shady or aftermath or even def jam and interscope couldn't distribute albums all over the world they need UMG for that.

    Think about it like this - UMG is the global structure, it provides distribution all over the world as a global company.

    Interscope or Def Jam is the US company that is in charge of handling whatever artists.

    Shady or Aftermath is a smaller structure or "franchise" that allows for an intimate handling of artists by the owner.

    Shady answers directly to Interscope, Interscope ultimately answers to UMG.

    Anderson Paak Is signed to Aftermath and isn't on interscope. Was Raekwon really on Aftermath? I don't remember this. I'm asking because I see his name under former acts of Aftermath
