    Was just about to say the same thing. If it's his last album, then it makes sense he's taking so long to release it.

    Also, announcing it at the VMAs makes a ton of sense if this album will be marketed as his last one. MTV could put together a cool throwback montage of Em's career moments from the TRL days and clips of his famous videos. They could really hype up his legacy with footage they already own. And use this montage to announce Eminem's final album.

    No way he is gonna release his last album. They might promote it as his final album tho. But that's impossible. He will probably say he will focus on his artists on shady records and after few years he will come back and say I got inspired by blah blah probably an artist he worked with, release a new album. He won't quit rapping. It's not something a guy who had very little hobbies and stuff to do in life could pull off...

    em is not the kind of guy that will allow any album he puts out to be marketed as his last album. He is very aware that he doesn't know where his career is headed or when he will stop rapping. He also is a very singular minded guy. His whole life is rapping. Of course he will stop one day but not with any official announcement.
