    Idk.. if there was nothing new for the concerts why would he wait just a day or 2 later to put out a new single? Just wouldn't make much sense imo

    People aren’t anticipating a single being released today — more like an announcement/date for a single/the album

    & it doesn’t make much sense to premiere something at a concert, the VMAs is a much bigger platform that he’s used previously

    We're not expecting a new single to be released. Just a teaser like this:


    I think he / they are using the concerts to put Em back in the public eye. Get some newspaper headlines with the whole 'f--- Trump' thing (has to be done in the UK because he wouldn't get away with it as easily in the US.).

    Although some Stans insist that Em is the biggest name in the world and doesn't need promotion, he is not and he does. Especially when he does nothing for 4 years apart from staying at home and read comics (ShadyXV and Southpaw OST don't count).

    This is the start of the hype train. It all feels like too much of a coincidence, with the show dates and VMAs.

    I disagree about Em needing promotion. He's a household name. Could drop tomorrow and would probably go platinum

    Nah. That's not true. Especially outside of the US. Yes, everyone knows who he is but outside of his core fanbase, people will have forgotten about him after not hearing anything on the radio for so long.

    They could sell/stream a s--- tonne but they (PAUL) want millions!!! Get him in the public eye. Add a little bit of controversy ("oohhh, f--- Trump. Edgy!"), and suddenly they have a perfect canvas to release and album on.
