    It would be more the other way round - him promoting his music around this event in order to give the film more exposure and press. Still don't think it's very likely tho.

    Of course, but the money Em gets in return for the amount of publicity they are giving to the film would be minimal, when you compare it to the promo he did for Southpaw for example

    My guess is that Em basically pumped money into this project and that’s how he’s the producer. Nothing more. They’d have to give him something more in return. Paul wouldn’t have it any other way

    Yeah film producers mostly are the people who provide financial backing for the movie so I agree. This is all hypothetical of course, but at this stage promotion would only be sth like dropping a single on the same day, with some kind of promotional tie-in to the movie. Which isn't much of an added expense bc it's for his album. It's actually better for him in terms of financial return on the movie if he promotes it this way... So this obv won't happen lol.
