    this is the reason dr dre hasnt been involved in aneminem album since 2012.
    he has to give 50% to the bass brothers for everything sold online instead of the standard 12%. not worth his time(hes probably getting like 10% max since he gotta pay interscope its share lol).

    I just finished watching the Phenemonal video for the first time since it was released. Do you think John Malkovich's cameo in the video was meant to represent Jeff Bass of the Bass Brothers? "You've been running so long - come back, let's finish what we started". Also, resemblance is uncanny.     I don't think so @ Refill. I don't really agree with that when people say we baiscally got R2 with that.

    First we only got 6 new songs, as in, recorded in the Relapse sessions. I don't count My Darling or Careful What You Wish For, as they're clearly 07 s--- and not made for Relapse, along with Beautiful.

    So we got 6 songs, which isn't even half of an album in Em terms. Let's presume there was another TEN songs, well, I mean think how your picture of a project or what can change in ten songs, that s--- is huge.

    Then take the fact Em would have probably tried to overly balance what he put on Refill even more, just to give 'bit of this and that' etc. due to the limited space for extra tracks... I doubt he would have just put the 6 best on there, best from our perspective in terms of being the hardest or most amazing rap tracks, I think he woulda gone 'here's a murder one, here's a personal one' etc.

    So we haven't heard most of R2, and then when you put it all together on its own terms and sequence it etc.... I bet that it was a classic. Just judging by Refill material, Westwood freestyle (which I believe is a R2 verse, tbh) and the fact of 'why would he put the strongest s--- out first?' - so as amazing as some of us consider Relapse... Just imagine what R2 must have been.

    One of the biggest tragedies of his career, scrapping that. And a turning point. And when he became an artistic p----. And compromised his image, legacy and integrity sorely.

    2009 Relapse + Relapse Refill : 1 hour and 59 minutes.
    2010 Recovery: 1 hour and 31 minutes.
    2013 MMLP 2: 1 hour and 43 minutes.
    Its not even shady xv and southpaw ost.
    He is doing really so much music.
