    Eminem Will Spit a Verse at 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards Tonight

    Original Story:

    Remember in 2009 when Eminem, Black Thought and Mos Def had a classic cypher at the BET Hip Hop Awards? And then two years later, he popped back up with Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf and Royce Da 5’9″ for a Shady 2.0 cypher? Well DJ Khaled, who’s hosting the show, is teasing that Slim Shady might return to spit a verse tonight.

    Yesterday (Oct. 9), Khaled teased a “major verse alert” coming to the show tonight, and today, he tweeted asking if the Eminem verse has come in yet. If you’re familiar with his shenanigans when he was “waiting” for the Drake verse to come in for his Major Key album, then you know this almost guarantees Marshall is showing up tonight.

    “Fan luv! Did the @eminem freestyle verse come in yet!!” Khaled wrote on Twitter. “BE READY! Tune in tonight !! @bet!!! #hiphopawards #MAJORVERSEALERT! This is BIG!!”

    The tease comes ahead of a report earlier this week that claimed Em is reportedly gearing up to drop his album on Nov. 17. A rep for Interscope told XXL “nothing has been announced or confirmed yet” regarding a new Em album, so we’ll have to wait and see, but if he is, indeed, prepping a new LP, the BET Hip Hop Awards would be a good platform to announce it on.

    Just last week, Denaun Porter took Em fans on a ride when he said Shady’s album was finished on a livestream. Soon after, he doubled back, saying he was just trolling. Or was he?
