    Forgive me if this has been mentioned but I was listening to Trial By Fire and it had a super minimalistic beat in the vein of a Campaign Speech. Give that the pre-album freestyle (assuming we won’t get another one at some stage) is it possible he’s gonna put out a CD that ain’t go no beats?

    Yeah because Interscope is going to let the highest selling artist of the last decade sell a CD for $5.

    Well you do realise that half of the price - when selling through a retailer comes from the fact they need to split that revenue, right?

    So selling $5 direct is probably about the same as selling $10 via Apple.

    I didn't say CD. I said digital.

    With music subscription services nowadays I'd be surprised if they used a standalone album price to forecast the revenue that it'll generate.
    Even if I don't buy the album, paying $11.99/month for Google Play Music will give me unlimited access to it.
