    I always looked at pop music as music that breaks out of the original genre. It could be actual generic pop or something else. Kind of like how Em broke out of Hip Hop and people consider him a pop artist. I never considered Adele generic pop like all that Selena Gomez, Britney Spears, etc. bs.

    Pop can be anything even if the artist doesn't want to make pop music.
