    I could see single dropping Friday. Taylor’s album will be out and she won’t have anything else to drop. Not that sales should be affected either way, but even if they are worried about it after Friday she’s got nothing left.

    Big musical releases are on Friday now due to charting (it was previously Tuesday)

    If the rumours are to be believed: He will need a single before the EMAs performance, and if not that, definitely the SNL performance (which by then the album is scheduled to be out anyway)

    Which makes this Friday the only logical time to release considering the album is looking likely to be out next week
