    Which now that I say that, I realize how similar Em and Jay-Z's careers have been since around 09.

    Relapse/The Blueprint 3 (2009) = So called comeback albums, try something a little different but doesn't stray too far from what they usually did.

    Then Em did Recovery, nothing from Jay

    h---: The Sequel/Watch The Throne (2011) = An amazing duo album with a long time collaborator.

    MMLP2/Magna Carta Holy Grail (2013) = Very hyped up albums that didn't necessarily deliver. Both have various gems on them, but some songs disappointed for sure.

    Revival/4:44 (2017) = In Jay Z's case a return to form, creating a classic Jay Z album that sounds exactly like what you want a Jay Z album to be. In Em's case... who knows yet.. actually even the marketing for Revival and 4:44 have been kinda similar.
