    I imagine the people who complain about it being too personal are the same people who complain about him rapping but ‘not saying anything’

    I thought it was a great single to come out with for his fans because it perfectly encapsulates his feelings and the reasons he hasn’t released in so long — and the irony of it all is that people complaining about this song validated the exact topic he’s rapping about

    He can’t win with some people

    I saw it, I just kind of have my own take on it.
    Not saying I have low expectations or anything, and unlike most of s80 I enjoyed a lot of post-MMLP2 content. I even played No Favors and Campaign Speech quite a bit in the past year.
    Walk on Water was just a curveball I guess. Not a good thing or bad thing, just a thing.

    I saw someone mentioning the syntoms on the website being contradictory; after listening to walk on water, I feel like he isn’t referring to other rappers where it says “saving you from bad rhymes” or whatever, but rather he is talking about himself. As it is clear “Revival” now is going to be themed after a revival of his career/talent/music quality, I am thinking the symptoms refer to himself as well
