Zero promotion, no confirmation, nothing at all, no tracklist or merch or album cover, so it might not drop tomorrow. Not to mention dropping it tomorrow with zero promotion might make him go number 2. Taylor Swift is debuting with 1.5 mill, she might do a lot in the second week. I assume he's gonna drop a song tomorrow (perhaps the one with 2 Chainz) and perform it on SNL and announce the album there and open pre-orders and merch and drop it on the 24th.
His camp probably didn't deny the rumors cause this isn't a total lie, unlike the "Roots" album. Besides it's free promotion.

well theres no confirmation so basically the 17th is just ''hypothetical'' till now.

if you think they spend the whole month on ads, singles, appearances, snl etc etc
just to come out next year then ok

What features would everyone like to see on the album? It's a stretch, but me, I'd like to see him with rappers just as big as him who can rap with him without being outrapped. Guys like The Game, Rick Ross, T.I. won't work, no disrespect. I'd like to see Lil Wayne, Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar on it.

Physicals will most likely be out around black Friday with this being an Apple Music exclusive which makes more sense especially when you look at it from apples end

which is exactly why the "it's a surprise" thing is so dumb. it's just wishful thinking (that doesn't check out logically) from people who bought into the rumor in the first place and now realize time's almost up, and there's nothing to show for it

if it was a surprise, truly... why drop it on the rumored date everyone is expecting it to come on?

they've completely wasted hype before, so it's not out of the question. it could even still drop this year, but I don't see it coming tomorrow

No, no, no. If there is one thing Em still knows how to do, it's makin' a single. No way he didn't know this could be a miss. Rap song without a beat ? Who would even listen to it in this era especially when hip hop has became the most popular genre in US and trap songs going huge all over the world. Walk on Water was exact opposite of what could sell in this era except Beyonce hook which I think they were telling the truth about it in the interview. They didn't really intend to put Beyonce there for commercial reasons but when Em took it to the Jay, Jay wanted bey to the hook smh like that.
All in all, no way anyone familiar with popular music can see the high risk in Walk on Water, no way Eminem thought it was gonna be big like LTWYL.
