Depends on what you view as creative, his song making process has been meh post relapse for most of the time, but his rhyming and technical proficiency is on another level, that does demand a lot of creativity whether one appreciates that or not.

I said last night that the 24th could be and always have been the date. It's just that SNL is not new next weekend due to the holiday, so they booked him for the 18th. They knew they'd have the single out then and could perform it. They don't want anymore songs out from the album until it drops - so the way SNL shook out last night may have always been a possibility the entire time. If they were going to officially announce the album's date, they would have done so when "Walk On Water" dropped.

It's still going to be a surprise release, it's just that it's really anyone's guess now as to when it's coming. The other possibility is that there was some delay or they wanted to stay a couple weeks away from Taylor Swift's date to ensure that he can debut at #1. The earliest I think it's coming now would be the 24th - as I just don't see it dropping midweek (especially if landing at #1 matters).

Other than that, I'm done speculating or guessing --- it'll drop when they want. Although they should have capitalized on the hype and just dropped it, and now I feel like it's lost a little bit of the stream and anticipation for now that won't pick back up until it's released outta nowhere.

That's the part I don't get, Eminem always talks about how he's into the latest music out there and what not, I mean how hard can it be to work with newer producers and approach the song structures in a better way. He needs some Kanye in his life tbh, or at least get back with Dre or something
