Can’t people find archives of eminem.com? I think this is a normal thing I can’t say for sure but I do have a feeling Berzerk said it was the first single off of MMLP2 and the description was taken down shortly after/right before the music video came out

I agree with you. I do think this song was meant to be how it was I think it was meant for his fans and his fans only and not to gain new ones or anything like that. I don’t think he’s just out of touch and thought this would be a “b-----r for the whip” and completely missed.

First of all, It's not even arguable Rap God was a hit at all. It's 3x platinum on US. Probably did a lot better worldwide. YouTube streams are very high lik 500k.

Rap God is a rap song and it was an hit. How come a song could be an hit but not an hip hop hit lol ? What is a hit to u ? What songs are rap hits ?

"You" never saw it social media. I have seen it. And actually Rap God wasn't a song Stans were in love with. It was more of mainstream song. No Stan fans were listenin' to it more, at least in my country that's what I witnessed. What determines the hit in rap if not the sales and streams ?

Walk on Water is a solid song.. Just shows there are just certain ppl out there who will just talk s--- just to talk s---.. I can see sayin it wasn’t the best choice for ur lead single but it’s not a bad song.. plus his lead singles majority of the time end up bein the worst songs on that the album with the exception of Without Me prolly

You're probably living under some big rock cause f---s sake n-----, I'm from Sri Lanka and that s--- was big even here. Some people got into Eminem after hearing that s---. It was all over social media worldwide, everyone was tryna do covers of it and remixes and whatever. There were memes, tweets, reaction videos, it was probably the biggest rap song of 2013. (Correct me if I'm wrong). The song on Spotify and YouTube alone has a billion streams. Add Apple Music and other platforms and s--- probably has 1.6-1.7 billion streams. It's certified triple plat in the US and it's got multiple certifications worldwide. It's one of the BIGGEST rap songs ever.

You don't know what hit means. Being hit is all about numbers wtf are u even talkin' about ?? U should check its' definition from dictionary. Rap God was even in Guiness for containing the most words on an HIT song. U can't deny the fact that it was a huge hit but u can say u don't like it more than some songs like BMF and s---. I never listen to Rap God unless I'm listenin' to the whole MMLP 2 album, I'll prefer listenin' BMF most of time (especially considering I'm listenin' music mostly in car) but that doesn't change the fact that Rap God was a lot bigger hit than BMF was.

Well, he does kind of have a point you know. Rap God isn't generally a song you would associate with Hip Hop culture. But with that logic, Eminem's barely had "Hip Hop hits".

You kept going on about what didn't make a Hip Hop hit. Streams and sales and YouTube views don't make it a Hip Hop hit and what not, when you should've actually said this s---.
