Relapse only 'tanked' by his standards due to the content / style.

It was a horrorcore album in an arabian accent. With carnival and alien beats. I love it but i can understand why it doesn't have long-standing mass appeal.

I don't believe singles sell his albums. Look at the first week numbers, they were only a bit higher for Recovery - 740k vs. 600k for Relapse, despite the fact Recovery had two HUGE worldwide #1 singles. And, Relapse... Didn't. And even that sales difference could be attributed to the fact not many non-Em fans knew he was even coming back, or had him on their radar in the same way in 2009, but once he was 'officially back', then they're looking for him and he came with Recovery the next year.

He doesn't need s-----y singles to sell his albums. He should just put something uncompromised out, for the first time in 15 years.

Rap God was the only massive hit of MMLP 2.

Great song but needs to be in the San quality as the version in the movie. The production and mix on that version was insane sounded epic in the theater I love the song regardless but the quality takes away from it.

You're talking like he just made the songs organically and the labels picked the singles. You don't think it was fkn suggested to him to make a hit song like "The Monster"? Aka work with Rihanna and... here's the beat? That's exactly what happened. He was sent a s-----y trendy beat and suggested he work with Rihanna, and he conformed. Where's his balls? He has two diamond albums and one of them (MMLP) is one of the most uncompromising albums in rap, how about "...Um, no, f--- you guys, because I know what I'm doing. I'm Eminem. Let me do something pure then if it fails we can chat".

Yes that always happened, I'm aware the same was suggested with 'we need a funny opener' which resulted in "The Real Slim Shady" and "The Way I Am". The difference is, the song was still a rap song. It was still uncompromised in its format. He didn't just grab a beat intended for somebody else and copy paste some verses.
