I s--- on em a lot but this new single actually intrigued me. I like it. It’s at least different from what he’s been doing. It’s not some typical self-loathing/love song. This is the most comfortable i’ve heard Em rap over a beat(s) since MMLP2. The second half of the song where the beat changes to that soft piano is vintage Em production. The one thing that did irk me is throughout the second half of the song, his choppy/awkward flow did pop up. It’s annoying because I liked the beat change a lot & he actually flows well on it in some parts but he just keeps resorting to that choppy flow. It’s like a bad habit or something.

This is actually bugging me so much, em can have his poppy hooks and yelling delivery just please flow properly

At least this song shows him exploring different song themes other than just rapping about having no new track concepts, whether or not the audience agrees with the message

It has no replay value.

I have not listened to Wow since its release day either.
Heavy Kendrick influence too.

Its a weird song he sounds way better in parts then goes back to the terrible Choppy flow.

Yeah, what’s most bothersome too is that a 2002 Eminem would have DESTROYED that second beat. I just have that in the back of my head while listening & im just like....f---....part of me wonders if it’s just a subconscious thing he does when he raps, like he doesn’t realize he’s using a choppy flow or if he realizes it & just doesn’t care/pay much mind to it.

Oh yes, thought I was the only one who got reminded of ---. Both have horrible a--- beats for like 1/3 of the song, horrible a--- rock elements and some f---ing horrible a--- mumbling in it. The topic is similar too.

After listening to the song a few times, I really like the second part of the song, though. Can someone edit the first part out or something? Also, what kind of wind-up is it to add that intro to the song? I was prepared for a 10/10 b-----r.

Honestly, I think he’s so caught up in the technicalities of writing (rhyme schemes/syllables/double-entendres etc.) that he totally looks over flow for the most part. He just raps to make his rhyme scheme work rather than rapping to the flow of the beat & writing rhymes that can fit the beat.
