as Eminem stated Paul gives final words about what he'll release...and he's "always" right.

can't stand the dude, u can tell he's been whats f---ing us up. He's been the one who's idea it is to do songs for Call of Duty and feature Rihanna on the sequel to The Marshall Mathers LP (Not that i dislike that song just that I'm 90% sure he wanted that collab)

    For example the last interview:
JOHN: Releasing a song is like giving birth to a child. And when people suggest something in that song that maybe I don’t agree with, like changing the chorus or putting the chorus somewhere else, I get so pissed off. But then I think about it, because there’s no point in having another member of the band there unless you listen to them. And it’s so infuriating, but they’re usually f---ing right, you know?

    EMINEM: Oh, that’s definitely Paul.

    JOHN: Paul Rosenberg?

EMINEM: Yeah, my manager. He and I go at it during the making of every album, and sometimes we’re on the same page and sometimes we’re not. He’s usually right about it, though. It’s just hard when you’ve spent so much time on something, writing and recording, laying the vocals, getting the hook right, getting the beat right, making everything sound right—you spent a freaking week trying to make it sound perfect, and someone comes along and shoots it down.

JOHN: You’re so lucky to have someone like that, though.

EMINEM: Absolutely—because, like I said, he usually ends up being right. When I played him “Not Afraid” for the first time, he wasn’t too fond of it. Then we had a conversation a few days later, and he was like, “Do you think it needs a bridge?” And I was like, “I knew you were going to say that.”

I don't want a general quote about what Em said in an interview I want evidence. Only thing I've read is that he suggested Em put a bridge on Not Afraid, which is a great idea. How has he ruined etc. Em's songs/albums?

Yeah I read that. It's just been pretty evident that Em doesn't really know whats dope etc. himself so why is Paul being right a lot of the time a bad thing? He is his manager, surely he has a decent idea of what people want to hear. Plus why was this never a problem pre-hiatus? He kinda seems like a scapegoat. Oh and the bridge idea for Not Afraid is dope.

he's a business mind not a music mind. He definitely is behind the merchandised driven posts, the Call of Duty tie in songs (Won't Back Down, Survival, Don't Front) and probably has the most say in the finished tracklisting.

Any evidence Paul's idea or forced him to do that?

Yeah it is quite racist tbh when you think about it

I found that bit of the interview uncomfortable though

Paul ain’t a musician. Em’s the genius, not him. It’s like he’s enjoying being part of the decision making when actually if you leave Em to it I reckon he’d pull together a much better project.

For example, on WHAT PLANET is f---ing GROUNDHOG DAY left off for f---ing STRONGER THAN I WAS UH

Only Paul made that call I’m certain of it

I don't give a s--- about Merch but yeah you are probably right about the CoD tie-ins. Still the Not Afraid idea is still a good addition no matter whether it was business or creatively related, it worked. Maybe he has improved a lot of Em's music, kept it on track, idk just thinking.

Look at his last 3 albums including this one and ask yourself that again. The problem is he isn't right. Paul only cares about the money not artistic expression.
The problem is he doesn't. Once again look at his last 3 albums including this one.
Because Em pre-hiatus still had his confidence. Foolish Pride leak, drug addiction, Proof's death and Relapse backlash f----- him up.

What is everyone thinking regarding the deluxe version?

I can't remember how his usual rollouts go but I'm guessing it's just going to be announced on the 15/17th when it gets put on iTunes.

Yeah you might have a point. But as i've said before, why is it only a problem post-hiatus?
