Will most likely get a single after the cd like space bound and headlights. As of right now there’s only 15 new tracks left I doubt they’re gonna shorten that list even more and make it 14.

d---, this is pasted from Reddit but it's the best theory for the album we've had yet. The two songs definitely has a different mature sort of feel to them and especially Walk on Water.




Aside from what you mentioned about the flag being backwards, one thought I've had for awhile that may apply is that this is **Eminem: Act III**. Maybe that's a corny way to phrase it, but bear with me. There will be no tl;dr.

For now, forget about splitting him up into Slim Shady, Marshall Mathers and Eminem. He is Eminem, the narrator. It's necessary to recognize this aspect because what we see is what he is showing us. It is, in its own way, theater, just as it is with any musician, actor, comedian or entertainer otherwise. It's not just about the music, but the music is his particular method of communication.

The first four albums were **Eminem: Act I**. Slim, Marshall, Em, Ken, Kim, Steve, Paul, Dre, Proof and several others were all part of the cast. It's the launching point to this masterpiece we have enjoyed and studied for nearly two decades. We saw him go from being underestimated to being unimaginable over and over and over. Even the flaws were part of the story, and that last year or so of his reign documented how far he had been pushed. Every protagonist needs a worthy antagonist, and some of the greatest stories ever told require the audience to question at times why they're still cheering for the good guy when he's acting like the bad guy.

Then, he disappeared.

He already gave us the encore we demanded and the show was over, with no promises of a sequel. He got sober, came back, and maybe some of us had mixed feelings about it because **Act I** is a tough act to follow. Yeah, one tough act to follow.

We've been in **Act II** for awhile. My most accounts, it's been about 8 or 9 years. The plot had progressed enough early on to where we would keep watching, even when it wasn't as exciting. He had proven to us that it is was going *somewhere*. The suspense was there, and many got impatient along the way, so much so that they simply lost hope and moved on.

For the rest of us, there were hints that this was a transitional phase. The pawns were being set up meticulously for a checkmate. We knew the hero that left us right when we were on the edges of our seats would be coming home soon. We caught glimpses of him often enough to keep waiting. He had some other priorities to take care of, and it was nothing personal.

But now, we see this battle-scarred warrior return. It's Eminem, but with a beard, and seemingly more reclusive than ever. He doesn't tell us what he's doing. He doesn't spoil the finale. He plays the role of the villain to some fans, and makes it clear on no uncertain terms that this show can be for them, but it's their choice. Some leave the theater, and others lean in closer and pay more attention than ever before.

He lets us take the time to remind ourselves that we've been waiting for something as uncanny as **Act I** for most of our lives.

Maybe the Ǝ is gone because we already saw that part of the show. We're arrogant to think he needs to do what he's already done just to live up to his reputation. Maybe he has the bleach blond hair again, maybe not -- he keeps his hood up and no one really knows what to think.

I'd like to think that the lights in the theater are dimming, letting us know that **Eminem: Act III** is about to begin, and it will explain everything we've seen thus far. Both the performer and the audience needed time to collect their respective thoughts. That's not to say Revival is the final album, but rather, we should get comfortable for what is coming. Expect nothing. This trilogy took a lifetime to tell.
