    why do you think this?

    I'm just curious because I think this too and honestly don't know why lol. maybe because of how satisfied I was with KND, Fine Line, etc.

    Agreed. I can just feel it. Something about Em, his content, flow aside, has seemed much more down to earth. MMLP2, Recovery, Relapse, Encore were just massively overblown gimmicks when you think about it. The arabian serial killer/r--ist on Relapse, the slap happy drug s--- on Encore, the superhero melodrama rap s--- on Recovery, and an imitation of his "past self" mixed with a country rock/dubstep clusterfuck on MMLP2.

    Since then dude just feels like he's been dropping music. Shady XV might be hated and I can see why but some songs like Fine Line and Guts Over Fear were no gimmicks. It was just him, where he's coming from, and I thought they were f---ing great. I think and hope he's aware of his criticisms too so he can work on that. Plus I feel like with all the time he's had over the last three years he should have more than enough to reflect on and give his own take. Dude's been quiet but dude's still got a lot to cover subject matter wise.

    if I'm not paying attention to what's being said on Raw, I can listen to it. the beat and flow is great. the content is a bit... fack-esque.

    all I think about's beat used to drive me up the wall. still does a bit but the song is pretty addicting tbh.. which happens to be the case with most BME songs for some reason. maybe I'm attracted to the chemistry.

    I don't listen to either song very often.

    Man the hype is going to be nuts. I wouldn't mind a surprise release but I like that build up, maybe announce the album a couple weeks before and release the first single the next day.

    yeah but a surprise drop would make major waves, especially coming from eminem. with no prior peak at the direction... having literally no idea what to expect when we jump into it would be a crazy feeling.

    I'd love for that to happen tbh.

    A surprise drop would be crazy. Just a random link to iTunes during the night. Em section would go wild for days.:whew:

    haha well i'm one of the few that thinks that he's gotten better with every release (mmlp2>recovery>relapse) since his hiatus and KND, Guts Over Fear, Fine Line, and Phenomenal hint that he's still on the rise. plus based on recent interviews he seems to be extremely self-aware in regards to his own music. honestly i think his new album will be very similar to recovery, but with better production and less corny punchlines.

    There would be pages and pages of speculations if someone finds out about it before it drops, i can't even imagine what Twitter and S80 would be if it happens.

    Are there any indications that Em is dropping an album this year? It's been three years now since MMLP2. If he doesn't drop one this year it'll be four years, basically be like another hiatus. Or was MMLP2 the last solo album? Wish we could get some kind of update of what the plans are with Em and the label. The Slaughterhouse album still looks nowhere in sight as well.

    Not directly, but during that redman interview on Shade 45 he called in just to say sup and mentioned he was recording. Of course that could mean anything

    well, the lack of news suggests he's working on something (like usual). plus he just did shows so that could be a sign of things to come. you know, keeping his name out there while we wait.

    either way there are a few features we know of coming this year. "Rap on Steroids" with Royce and Black Thought, a track with Crooked I and Big Sloan, and "Come Up for Air" with Skylar Grey. And MAYBE a song with LL Cool J if G.O.A.T. 2 drops this year. Royce also implied that we may be getting new Bad Meets Evil material at some point as well.

    we don't know what project it's on. I assume a Royce x Black Thought album.
