yes, that was maybe the most obvious example, but there are plenty of post-hiatus songs of his that i think people would've loved if they came out in 02-05 back when he had a buzz.

i think its a combination of him rhyming so much
and trying to adapt to the current sound of rap by using the migos flow
he can still rap though his flow and delivery are solid

mmlp2 i love the tone man, s--- was so sarcastic and self aware with lines like the "insert insult here" one, a------ and so far. he was in his bag for most of the project and knew exactly where he stood in his career.

and the pop trash was kept to a minimum for recent em standards

It doesn't work like that, overall, music changes from era to era. There are a lot of classic songs and albums that if they were to be released now, they wouldn't sound half as good.

Framed is good but only because its almost certainly a relapse cut. But even then it'd only be an alright track on relapse (although if framed was in place of insane i would love that). In My Head is alright.
