His mixing has been a mess for years now. He radically sounds different on some of MMLP2 as well. He even says in the lyrics he's been listening to Mockingbird and Mockingbird/When I'm Gone are the songs he's kinda mimicking the sound of.

The words he rhymes, the way he twists them, the repeating of the same sentence with different wording that happens multiple times.. I'm pretty sure it's recent writing:

On Castle:

On Arose there is the forced wordplay, twisting of words of recent years as well:

everytime Eminem go for a pop song, it always feel cheap..with a generic beat

but this song has one of his best pop beats to the point he starts the song by addressing the beat

and that hook...that hook man

It isn't, Arose is the story from how his overdose could have went (he could have died) but his has starts beating back-up and he literally says he's been killing it since.

He was doing his last album, never wanted to make an album again, overdosed, survived and pretty much said he still kills s---:

Yeah, this album really does nothing for me. Like @Papa Andy said, for the most part it’s boring and pointless. I honestly can’t see myself ever listening through this album again.
