Trimming the album down to this track list makes it so much better. Hands down his 5th best album. (Maybe even tied for 4th with Recovery in my opinion). No filler and actual substance to most songs.

It wouldn't be getting the s--- it's getting if it was like this. Complaints of the album being a mess and mismatch of random tracks wouldn't exist. Who ever it was at Shady / Interscope that arranged the tracks on the final release is a f---ing dip s---. Probably the same c---- who decided that WOW should've been the lead single over River or Nowhere Fast.

Moving the revival interlude in between Castle and Arose is also nice. That interlude is godly. It deserves to run into the best track on the album.

If he could pick some better beats, get better mixing, drop the goofy punchlines, maintain a smooth flow and have fewer pop features, we'd have Em close to being back at his best (at least as good as he can be at 45).

I rly liked his Vulture interview. It’s refreshing to hear him speak so candidly and seriously as part of the album media push. He actually seems like a relatively likable, knowledgeable human being

Anyways, I’m still grappling with this album. Besides the singles, the only tracks I’m really recommending to my various IRL friends are: Believe, Like Home... and maybe Remind Me. (Note: I like Castle and Arose, but they’re kind of rehashes. It’s fine he’s returning to those stories, but I’m really into 2017* eminem)

((**Side note: I was just saying to @WPG, who secretly likes this album but feels pressured into criticizing it, that’d it’d be intriguing for eminem to just do a one-off project with late 80s/early 90s beats and artists. He’s fixated/a nerd about that time period of hip hop anyway. Just do it..... he’s seemingly so concerned about preserving that history.)

I’ve done a lot of thinking about this album the last few days. And I know a lot of people here have grown to like it, and I have enjoyed the album to an extent as well. I had previously said it was better than mmlp2. But I just can’t say that anymore for how bad this album is sonically and even content wise for a good amount of the tracks. Half the tracks blend together into one pop ballad. I know i’m gonna get hate for this but even Encore is 100% better than this album. All the highs of encore (half of it) are top tier em. We get three, maybe four top tier em songs here. Just doesn’t cut it.
TES>MMLP>SSLP>Recovery>MMLP2>Relapse>Encore>Revival

After countless listens. Take like home and need me out, and everything is great. Though I would like more believe and chloraseptic type songs. My top tracks are believe, chloraseptic, framed, offended, in your head, castle and arose. I like remind me, I'm a fan of the rock samples myself I know that's an unpopular opinion tho.

The album is 5 days out and still didn't listin to that pink song... what were they thinking putting her for 2 minutes long on that song...btw i don't hate pink but that is to much for an eminem song
