It's called RELAPSE because he is RELAPSING after becoming clean. That's the gimmick to the whole album.

Eminem in castle was writing "2007 Eminem last comeback album" while on drugs, and he overdoses , just like real life.

Relapse was in no shape form or how existing whatsoever before he became clean
