Okay help me here then. On Castle he’s writing the letter back in 2007 before he took the overdose and nearly died (as he overdoses after the verse). Relapse was made after he went to rehab and got clean, so how could he be talking about an album in 2007 that was inspired by something that hadn’t already happened at that point? I understand Relape is Em drugged out conceptually but that has nothing to do with it as far as I can see.

I see what you mean there, but I still see In Your Head as unrelated to Castle and Arose. The problem with your case is that in In Your Head he recovered from drugs and is about to release Relapse, but that recovery from drugs brought him nothing but back to where he was, as in exactly where he was when he was getting addicted to drugs. But in Castle Extended he recovered and REMAINED recovered for 4 albums straight.
