Em's response in Vulture (great overall interview btw.) about this being for his core fans is trasssh.

No it fkn ain't Em, because your core fans don't want inauthentic, random pop features and broad, phoned-in beats trying to appeal to a nameless demographic for sales/hits. f---ing "Need Me" is not for your core fans, what a crock of s---. Relapse - was for your core fans Em. And since the mixed reception to that... You've been pandering, trying to win over the masses and casual fans. Why try and win over pop listeners or casual fans, who gives a s--- about them. He's been trying to 'make something for everybody' as he put it recently since 2010.

At least Recovery was consistent though, even though flawed. MMLP2 was fun as s---, even though it was allllll over the place for the same reason as Revival. Revival is an absolute mess. You can't 'make something for everybody', have 100 sounds and s--- like horrorcore mixed with super stadium pop rap and have a consistent album. Revival had such potential, but it was ruined - again - by compromise. I hope the bad reception - from fans - spurs him to STOP LISTENING TO PEOPLE and make an album of what HE thinks is genius from start to finish, instead of trying to god d--- cater like he's a customer service rep instead of an artist.

Revival is 6/10. Could have been an 8 if some of the inauthentic s--- was removed and placement was better. Like, having :Framed" between "Nowhere Fast" and "Tragic Endings">> Wtf is in Rick Rubin's head, seriously. In what world does that make sense, sonically

Not necessarily.

It's just speculation that Em will be on Def Jam.

Shady still exists and it was said officially Paul will remain CEO of Shady too.

But yeah why would 1 small radio outlet in Australia and nobody else have this.

i still find it weird em didnt seem to talk about dre that much he did mention he has 2 songs with dr dre and we will revist them which is odd because em never says stuff like that about his unreleased songs so i could see this as a part 2 to revival maybe an ep or something em has also been really active since dropping revival done like 3 interviews a video with complex (for no reason at all)
