Yeah my issue is the sounds with music, conscious/woke music will always have better potential for staying power. Em's issue is his hooks/or people doing hooks for him and the beats he chooses to rap on. For a guy that is apparently in love and following hip hop he seems to fail to realise the s--- he is rapping over is dated af.

Mal is wrong about the Em fanbase not being on the internet though, like most liked person on facebook (from what I remember) his streaming numbers are still quiet high. His music is not enjoyable anymore. He is lucky he has so many people willing to give his poor projects a second chance in case they missed something. Most artists if people don't like an album first listen they just move on. Given the general disappointment of his recent albums, seems people stopped giving him second chances. It's the same s--- over and over since 2010 (minus h--- the sequel).

It’s funny I refused to listen to offended, framed and chloraseptic and now I play them 24/7.
That makes heat the only s--- track for me. The rest are so good

Nowhere Fast is the worst track on the album. It is the worst on the ears. The concept is fine. I can't stand the random cuts of the bass. His flow is not that good. It literally is him doing that SHADY XV style. What a waste of a Kelhani feature. Otherwise he album is dope. I love Offended and the chorus is amazing. I hate the parts where the bass cuts out though. I have a major system in my car and it is annoying when the bass stops and s---.

Facebook is basically dead lol and em been the most liked since like 2012. That was when his fanbase was still young. The average em fan is definitely in his 20s and not on the internet. Of course his classics are gonna be streamed. When you go on most rap forums and on social media, only a few people really like Em like that now besides this message board.

I felt this way in 2013 when MMLP2 was going to come out and being on KTT, then all these Em fans popped up. It's like when all those Trump voters came out lol. I don't disagree with your point though. I think there is medium here. Promo was garbage for this album which has confused the h--- out of me. For MMLP2 he popped out with snippets, commercials, videos and blonde f---ing hair that made everyone at least interested in what is going on.

Was also a different climate. Every1 was hype about the new wave of rappers. Kendrick, Drake, Meek, Sean, Cole, and others could all rap at an elite level so people thought lyricism was returning. That's probably why rap god was so big at the time
