Agreed.

I think it all started with the negative critical reception for Relapse. The entire album was produced by Dre, and it felt like the last authentic Eminem album. However, Eminem publicly calling an expertly-produced album "eh" on a nationally broadcasted song probably crushed their creative relationship. I bet Dre took major offense to this, since he was perfect on the album.

After Eminem publicly denounced Relapse, it seems like he and Dre had a creative falling out. Even on the Compton soundtrack, Eminem rapped over the only non-Dre beat. When Relapse didn't do as well as expected, they seemed to go separate ways while remaining casual friends. Eminem wanting to move forward, recreate his image, and squeeze back into the spotlight; Dre continuing to pursue his entrepreneurial endeavors. Dre shouting out Eminem's new music, and Eminem appearing in Dre's HBO series Defiant Ones.

All in all, unless Dre becomes largely influential in Eminem's music again, I don't see Eminem going back to his "old ways" anytime soon. Relapse was the last time.

I think revival is up there with those albums. Not quite as good but for 2017 Em it's comparable. s--- is multi-layered

Idk Dre is the one who told him he needs more “fun” records on Revival.. I’m think he’s the reason we got Remind Me cuz of it since he produced the intro.. f--- Dre.. Em needs to lock everyone out.. Produce his whole album himself and have no features.. that’s Eminem at his best..

telling eminem to make his album fun is good advice. Im sick of this melodramatic pop angst garbage. How is eminem taking that advice and making white trash disgusting rock records dre's fault.

For some reason eminem's current idea of fun is more along the lines of remind me and c'mon let me ride, rather than say a role model or a criminal. Sick as they were they were f---ing fun

I’ve listened to this start to finish a couple times now. I don’t know if this is his worst album, but I know for sure it’s his worst produced album.
It’s either his second to worst, or worst album.

I respect his choices to start the album with an obvious reach for contemporary sounding relevance. That being said, Believe and Chloraseptic are two of the listenable songs for me. He hit those on the head.

In Your Head (My personal favorite)

There are other joints on here that are somewhat redeemable, and there are also shreds of genius sprinkled throughout. (Im innuendo) Only thing is, the album as a whole is disconjointed and not cohesive. This album was a huge flop on a number of levels, for a number of reasons.

5.9/10

Probably his worst album a year from now.
